A Joyous Celebration: Armenian Christmas Eve at St. Gregory of Narek

Last week our parish gathered in faith and fellowship to celebrate the sacred occasion of Armenian Christmas Eve (Ճրագալոյց). The evening was a beautiful testament to our rich traditions, uniting us in prayer, light, and joyful communion.

The Candlelight Divine Liturgy (Ճրագալոյցի Ս. Պատարագ) filled the church with a radiant glow as our parishioners came together to celebrate the Eve of Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. The flickering candles symbolized the light of Christ entering the world, reminding us of His eternal presence in our lives. The solemn prayers and hymns uplifted our spirits, setting the tone for a night of peace and reverence.

Following the service, our community gathered for a Festive Christmas Dinner (Տոնական Ընթրիք), graciously hosted by Lusine Israelyan. The evening was filled with warmth, fellowship, and the joy of shared traditions. Friends and families rejoiced over delicious Armenian cuisine, embracing the season of love and gratitude.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lusine Israelyan for her generosity in hosting such a wonderful gathering and to everyone who participated in making the evening so meaningful. May the light of Christ continue to shine in our hearts and homes throughout the year.

Քրիստոս Ծնաւ եւ Յայտնեցաւ, Օրհնեալ է Յայտնութիւնն Քրիստոսի!
Christ is born and revealed! Blessed is the revelation of Christ!
