Our parish came together last week to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Տոն Ս. Ծննդյան եւ Ասվածահայտնության մեր Տիրոջ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի).
The morning began with Matins (Առավոտյան Ժամերգություն) at 9:30 AM, preparing us for the Festal Divine Liturgy (Հանդիսավոր Ս. Պատարագ) at 10:30 AM. The heart of the celebration was the Blessing of Water (Ջրօրհնեք), a profound reminder of Christ’s Baptism in the Jordan River and the revelation of the Holy Trinity. We chose Vahagn Ohanyan (Վահագն Օհանյան)—a devoted and valued member of our community—along with his wonderful family, to serve as the Godfather of the Cross (Խաչի Կնքահայր) for this sacred service. Following the Divine Liturgy, our church family gathered for a Christmas Family Luncheon, generously hosted by the Demirjian and Torosian Families. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as parishioners shared a festive meal, strengthening the bonds of faith and friendship while celebrating the joy of Christ’s birth and revelation. We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated altar servers, choir members, and all who contributed to this beautiful celebration. Our heartfelt congratulations to Vahagn Ohanyan and his family, and our special thank you to the Demirjian and Torosian Families for graciously hosting the fellowship. During Fellowship Hour, organized by the Church School, we had a delightful surprise visit from the Armenian Santa! The children were overjoyed to meet and greet Dzmer Babig, sharing in the festive spirit. A heartfelt thank you to Andreh Avitsian for bringing joy to our community by serving as the Armenian Santa Claus. May the blessings of Christ’s Nativity and Theophany continue to shine in our hearts, our homes, and our parish throughout the year. |
