The evening began in the dimly lit sanctuary, symbolizing the waiting and anticipation of Christ’s Resurrection. As the Scriptures were read, particularly the powerful words from Isaiah 60, the lights of the church were illuminated, filling the space with radiant joy and signaling the triumph of light over darkness.

The Jrakalouytz ceremony — the lighting of candles — brought the faithful together in a visible expression of faith, hope, and celebration. It was a moving moment as each flame passed from one worshiper to another, spreading the light of Christ’s Resurrection throughout the church.

Following the Liturgy, we came together for the first Easter Home Blessing in the Fellowship Hall and then enjoyed a delicious and traditional Easter Dinner. It was a memorable night, filled with the spirit of renewal, community, and the living hope of the Risen Christ.
