Khachverats Badarak Celebration in the Armenian Community of Columbus, Ohio with New Chalice and Hand Cross

On Saturday, September 27, the Armenian community of Columbus gathered for a special Divine Liturgy, celebrating the Season of the Holy Cross. This sacred occasion was made even more meaningful with the blessing and first use of a newly arrived silver chalice and hand cross from Armenia.

The chalice, bearing the image of the Holy Savior Church of Shushi, stands as a powerful reminder of our sacred roots in Artsakh. Through these cherished gifts, our community prays for the blessing of Almighty God—that one day soon we may lift up this chalice and the Holy Cross in our own Armenian sanctuary here in Columbus, Ohio.

This celebration was more than a liturgical moment—it was a step forward in our shared vision to find land and build a church of our own, a lasting spiritual home for generations to come.
