| On the first day of Great Lent, our youth put their faith into action. The Lenten Youth Retreat began not with words, but with service: together they prepared 100 sandwiches and meal bags for our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness — a small act of mercy that becomes something far greater when offered with love.
Following the outreach, the retreat continued under the Diocesan ACYOA Juniors theme, “Follow the Shepherd — Heeding the Voice of God.” The day was filled with lively activities and interactive reflections, culminating in a moving time of prayer in church and quiet personal reflection. The retreat concluded with a joyful evening of fellowship at Pinstripes. We are grateful to all our teens for their participation, to their parents for encouraging them to come, and especially to Yn. Naira for coordinating the day. Great Lent calls us not only to prayer and fasting, but also to compassion. As Christ teaches, “I was hungry and you gave Me food” (Matthew 25:35). We thank everyone for their support and donations that made this outreach possible, especially: Der Hratch and Yn. Naira Sargsyan |
