Hayr Simeon Visits St. Gregory of Narek

On Sunday, February 16, St. Gregory of Narek despite snowy weather, warmly welcomed back Very Rev. Fr. Simeon Odabashian, our beloved Vicar General and former Deacon-in-Charge and Pastor. It was a joyous occasion as the community gathered to celebrate the Divine Liturgy together with Fr. Simeon as our guest celebrant.

The event was made even more memorable as parishioners sang “Happy Birthday” to Hayr Soorp, presenting him with a delightful birthday cake that added to the festive atmosphere.

A delicious fellowship was made possible by the generous contributions from various families. Lousine and Khacheek provided marinated chicken, pork, potatoes, and a delicious cabbage salad, while the Kayayan family contributed boureg and salad. The Ohanyan family brought a lovely assortment of fruits, and Vahag prepared the meat and potatoes. Ayda delighted us with a hummus platter, and Mona treated us to a delightful cake, alongside Lusine Israelyan’s chocolates. Dina Ohanessian coordinated the felliwshil and brought a platter of fresh veggies, and Razmig sweetened the gathering with cookies.

It was a heartwarming reunion filled with gratitude, fellowship, and delicious food, making Fr. Simeon’s visit truly special.
