A Warm and Heartfelt Community Thanksgiving Gathering

This past Saturday, our parish family gathered for a beautiful and spirit-filled Community Thanksgiving Dinner following the Divine Liturgy at St. James Episcopal Church. It was a joy to see so many of you come together—children, parents, friends, and longtime parishioners—to offer thanks to God for His abundant blessings and to celebrate the gift of our community.

The potluck meal was truly a feast. Your generosity filled the tables with delicious traditional dishes and brought warmth, fellowship, and laughter to the evening. Thank you to everyone who prepared food, helped with setup and cleanup, and contributed to the welcoming atmosphere that made the night so memorable.

During the program, we shared a special video presentation highlighting the St. Vartan Cathedral Renovation Campaign. This powerful film reminded us of the faith, sacrifice, and vision of our founders, who built the Mother Cathedral through grassroots efforts—brick by brick, quarter by quarter, prayer by prayer.

Following the video, Der Hratch offered an update on the renovation efforts, speaking about the progress already underway and the significant needs that remain. He encouraged our community to take part—each according to their ability—in supporting this essential and historic project. As he shared, St. Vartan Cathedral is not simply a building; it is the spiritual home of our Diocese and a beacon of Armenian Christian witness in America. Now it is our turn to uphold the legacy entrusted to us.

Once again, thank you to all who attended, served, volunteered, and offered your presence. May the spirit of gratitude continue to fill our hearts and homes.
