Women’s Guild News

The Women’s Guild held its monthly meeting on Saturday, May 30, discussing a variety of ongoing ministries and upcoming activities, including membership outreach, fellowship events, community service opportunities, Bible studies, wellness programs, and preparations for future parish events. Members also enjoyed a plant swap following the meeting and continued planning for several outreach initiatives, including support for Laura’s Home, the Cleveland Food Bank, and the upcoming Race for the Place.

The Women’s Guild’s first Book Club also met on Sunday following fellowship hour. Participants enjoyed a lively and engaging discussion of Remarkably Bright Creatures, exploring its memorable characters, compelling story, and the many spiritual themes woven throughout the novel. Conversations touched on hope, living with and working through grief, acceptance, unconditional love and kindness, and the humility required when facing life’s unresolved mysteries.

The Book Club will continue meeting on the last Sunday of each month, alternating between fiction and non-fiction selections. The next book, to be discussed on June 28, will be Garbology by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edward Humes. The July 26 selection will be Theo of Golden by Allen Levi.

All are welcome to participate, and no advance sign-up is necessary.
