ACYOA Chapter Connection and visit by ACYOA Central Council! Today, the ACYOA Central Council representatives, Jackie Russell and Ani Misirliyan, organized an engaging ACYOA Chapter Connection Workshop with our youth. The event kicked off with an opening prayer, ice breakers, and fruitful discussions about our local ACYOA chapter’s goals. Our young people also explored various ideas and tackled important issues, including the consistency of meetings and plans for a potential retreat with the Central Council.
Ani and Jackie provided printed calendars for each month of 2024, enabling our ACYOA to plan a wide range of events throughout the year. These include a Vardavar Car Wash in July, a potential October trip to Cedar Point with the Detroit ACYOA group, as well as serving and preparing meals for the homeless shelter, among other activities.
Furthermore, the group decided on establishing a committee for the Cleveland ACYOA chapter, with roles such as chair, treasurer, social media manager, outreach coordinator, and communications director. Elections for these positions will take place during the upcoming retreat, and a comprehensive slideshow with role descriptions will be included.
Additionally, plans were outlined to enhance advertising for our ACYOA chapter and to involve more youth from the church community. The workshop was concluded with a delicious khorovadz luncheon. The future looks bright for our ACYOA chapter, and we can’t wait to see these plans come to fruition!
