Our Sunday School Food Pantry Drive was a wonderful success and a meaningful way to live out the spirit of Great Lent through service and compassion. Thanks to the generosity of our parish community, we were able to collect many hygiene and household essentials for families in need.
On March 1st, more than a dozen Sunday School students, along with teachers and parents, visited the Garfield Food Pantry to deliver the donated items. Following a warm welcome by Mary Jo Garrison and a short introduction by Yn. Naira Azatyan, the children gathered in the pantry room and packaged all the toiletries. It was a beautiful opportunity for our young people to put their faith into action and learn the importance of caring for others.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Garfield Food Pantry volunteer coordinator Mary Jo for warmly welcoming our group and for the important work she does in the community. Special thanks also to Yn. Naira for organizing this meaningful Lenten outreach activity.
May God bless all who contributed and participated in this act of love and service.
