This past Sunday, our parish family gathered for a joyful Church School Closing Ceremony & Celebration, giving thanks to God for another wonderful year of faith formation, learning, friendship, and growth.
During the program, our Sunday School students were recognized for their participation and accomplishments and received certificates celebrating their dedication throughout the year. We also expressed our heartfelt appreciation to our teachers and volunteers whose love, service, and commitment continue to nurture our children in the life of faith.
Sunday School Superintendent Yn. Naira Azatyan offered words of gratitude to all the parents and teachers for their support, partnership, and dedication throughout the year and reflected on the importance of working together to help our children grow in faith.
Our teachers were also recognized with small gifts from both the Sunday School and the parents as tokens of appreciation for their faithful service. On behalf of the Sunday School, the gifts were presented by Yn. Naira Azatyan, while the gifts from the parents were presented by Dina Ohanessian and Narine Prystash.
One of the special highlights of the day was the creation of a Church School Time Capsule, where students shared memories and messages to be opened in the future—a meaningful way to preserve this chapter of their spiritual journey.
A particularly meaningful moment was recognizing our beloved junior teachers, Tatev Sargsyan and Ruzanna Gaboyan, as they prepare to begin an exciting new chapter as college students. After graduating from Sunday School, they remained involved in parish life, received training, served as teacher assistants, and eventually became teachers themselves. Their journey is a beautiful example of growing in faith and giving back to the Church through service. We thank them for their dedication and pray for God’s blessings and success in all that lies ahead.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our entire Sunday School teaching team: Yn. Naira Azatyan, Kristine Hambardzumyan, Tatev Sargsyan, Ruzanna Gaboyan, Der Hayr, Mane Sargsyan, Lauren Demirjian, substitute teacher Lilit Grigoryan, and Anna Hovsepyan. May God richly bless them for their faithful ministry.
The celebration continued with fellowship and fun as children enjoyed activities and a festive piñata, while parishioners gathered for a cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers.
Special thanks to Tigran Antonyan, Khacho Kocharyan, Amo Nazaryants, and everyone who helped with grilling and preparing the meal, and to Der Hayr and Yn. Naira for generously hosting the fellowship on behalf of the Sunday School.
We thank God for another blessed and successful Church School year. May the seeds planted in our children continue to grow and bear fruit for years to come.
