Women’s Guild Serves at Laura’s Home

On Monday, June 22, a group of volunteers from the St. Gregory of Narek Women’s Guild had the privilege of preparing and serving dinner to the residents of Laura’s Home at the City Mission.

The evening was a meaningful reminder that acts of service often bless those who serve as much as those being served. The visit gave our volunteers a deeper appreciation for the remarkable work being carried out at Laura’s Home, where women facing difficult circumstances—including abuse, the loss of a spouse, homelessness, and financial hardship—are welcomed with compassion, dignity, and hope.

In addition to providing safe housing and nutritious meals, Laura’s Home offers life skills training, counseling, and spiritual care, helping women rebuild their lives with confidence and renewed purpose.

Following their time of service, the volunteers gathered at the home of Louise Demirjian for dinner and fellowship, reflecting on the experience and the many blessings that come through serving others.

We are grateful to everyone who participated in this meaningful outreach and look forward to our next service opportunity at the Cleveland Food Bank this October. We hope you’ll consider joining us as we continue to put our faith into action through service to our community.
