Lenten Friday Evening — Week 3

Our Lenten Friday Prayer & Featured Speaker series continued with another meaningful evening of prayer, reflection, and learning. We began with our Lenten prayer service, allowing the quiet beauty of the season to draw us into stillness and spiritual reflection.

Our featured presentation, “Rest, Trust, and Sleep — Sleep Health and Surrendering Anxiety to God,” was offered by Dr. Sanaa Chalhoub Beresian, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Specialist, and hosted by Yn. Naira Azatyan. Dr. Beresian spoke about the importance of healthy sleep for the well-being of both body and mind, offering practical insights into how rest restores our physical health and strengthens our resilience.

She also reflected on the spiritual dimension of rest, reminding us that true peace begins when we release our anxieties and place our trust in God. In a world that often keeps us restless and overwhelmed, the evening encouraged us to rediscover rest not only as a physical need, but as an act of faith and surrender.

A thoughtful evening that reminded us that caring for our bodies, quieting our minds, and trusting in God are all part of the journey of spiritual renewal during Great Lent.
